Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) in Indian River County Host a Town Hall on Youth Vaping
October 21, 2021

On October 21, 2021, the Students Working Against Tobacco Executive Team recognized Not A Lab Rat Day with a town hall for local community members.

Not a Lab Rat Day is a statewide tobacco control observance that empowers students to stand up to the tobacco industry and proclaim that they will not test the e-cigarettes on their bodies.

This year, SWAT hosted special guest Dr. Barry Hummel, who discussed the youth vaping epidemic and local solutions. "I am always delighted to speak to concerned parents and interested youth who recognize the dangers of vaping products and are looking for solutions that will reduce youth access and exposure to all forms of nicotine," said Dr. Hummel.
