The Tobacco Free Partnership of Indian River County Participates in the Annual "Community Night Out"
October 28, 2021

In the month of October, the local law enforcement agencies host their "Community Night Out’" events.

This year, the Tobacco Free Partnership, along with Students Working Against Tobacco, were able to participate in the "Community Night Out" Events for Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the City of Vero Beach Police Department, and the City of Sebastian Police Department.

These events were a great opportunity to speak with parents and youth about the local initiatives of the Partnership and SWAT. SWAT students focused on educating parents and peers about the dangers of electronic cigarettes and the Partnership, alongside Substance Abuse Free Indian River (SAFIR), educated parents on the dangers of youth substance use with the Hidden in Plain Sight trailer.
